Paul vs. Davis was scheduled for Nov. 14 in Miami, Florida. However, this bout was canceled after Davis was hit with a civil lawsuit.

Paul’s been searching for a new opponent since then and has called out Francis Ngannou. The former UFC heavyweight champion has ripped into Paul for even suggesting the fight, but it seems there might be someone else keen on taking this shot.

Diaz recently posted a four-word reaction and hinted at a rematch with Paul.

The 40-year-old boxed Paul in 2023 but was on the end of a unanimous decision loss. That was the former UFC star's first professional boxing match. He did get a boxing win under his belt by defeating another former UFC star, Jorge Masvidal, in 2024.

Diaz is best known for his time in MMA and is a UFC legend.

Daniel Cormier rips into Jake Paul for calling out Francis Ngannou

Jake Paul’s attempts at finding another opponent quickly has been met by scorn from some quarters.

Former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier is one of them. The former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion didn’t take kindly to the Paul vs. Ngannou shouts.

‘DC’ believed Ngannou would “knock” Paul’s head “off this planet” and said he would laud 'The Problem Child' if he went toe-to-toe with the former UFC star.

However, he also warned Paul from taking the fight and asked him to steer clear of 'The Predator':

“You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. The stupid prize will be fighting Francis Ngannou. I don't care what money Jake Paul would make; he shouldn't be fighting Francis Ngannou... Stay away from Francis Ngannou.”

Paul has a 12-1 boxing record and has faced many big names such as Mike Tyson, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.

However, most of his opponents he has fought have been past their prime. Paul’s sole boxing loss came at the hands of Tommy Fury, the younger brother of former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fur.
