Garcia, who has a history of posting edgy content on social media, captioned his latest video by using a popular saying.

Garcia used the ‘send to Dagestan for 2-3 years’ phrase, something that Islam Makhachev and Khabib have used over the years.

This refers to sending someone to train in the Russian region for a few years and to forget about them for that period.

Garcia also commented under the post with his new name, “Ryan Makhachev.” This refers to the current UFC welterweight champion, Islam Makhachev, who is close friends with Khabib. The boxer’s Instagram post also had him appearing with a fake beard via some filters.

However, Diaz wasn’t looking at the funny side of things and took a bit of a shot at Garcia by saying:

“Aw shit u turned gay bruh”

When Nate Diaz explained why he slapped Khabib Nurmagomedov

One of the biggest incidents between Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov took place in a World Series of Fighting event in 2015.

Nate Diaz was supporting his teammate, Jake Shields, at the event. The UFC legend ran into Khabib’s camp, and then things took a turn for the worse. Apparently, Khabib was slapped by Diaz, and the Stockton native was waiting for the Russian outside the event after being kicked out.

Diaz then revealed what actually took place while speaking to Ariel Helwani in 2019:

I’m not into this bully s***, he’s into bullying and stuff, that’s his thing. When I ran into him and his team at the World Series, I was standing there watching Jake, my friend, fight. And they took a group picture with me behind them, just to laugh at me, make fun of me... They’re all laughing, 12 Russian dudes. I slapped him in his face for making fun of me."

There was also an incident where there were water bottles thrown between Islam Makhachev and Diaz at UFC 311.
