Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane of Algeria and Thailand scored a massive victory over Japanese superstar and ONE Championship debutant Hiromi Wajima last Sunday.The 21-year-old Team Mehdi Zatout product showcased his relentless pressure and otherworldly skills in front of Wajima’s hometown crowd at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri last Sunday, November 16, at the Ariake Arena.Wajima came in as a late replacement for Jonathan ‘The General’ Haggerty, who tore his rotator cuff and had to pull out of the Anane bout.Speaking to veteran ONE Championship broadcast analyst Mitch ‘The Dragon’ Chilson in the ring after his fight, Anane said he now wants a crack at Haggerty’s kickboxing gold.
