The 32-year-old faces Superbon in a title unification battle in the curtain closer of ONE 173 on Nov. 16 in Tokyo.

His brothers-in-arms Takeru Segawa and Yuki Yoza will also compete on the same card, with bouts against Denis Puric and Superlek Kiatmoo9, respectively.

Knowing Takeru’s struggles as of late, Noiri hopes his senior can turn things around and both of them will be hoisting ONE Championship belts soon.

The interim 155-pound kickboxing king told ONE Championship in his pre-event interview:

"Honestly, the reason I joined Vasileus and signed with ONE Championship was to achieve my goal of winning the ONE belts with Takeru. Therefore, my current goal is to become the undisputed champion and defend my belt consistently, and help Takeru win his belt too."

Takeru is coming off an 80-second knockout loss to Rodtang Jitmuangnon on home soil in March. The former three-division K-1 champion needs a victory to rebuild momentum and position himself for title contention.

Noiri, on the other hand, remains fixated on shedding his interim tag and bringing world title glory to Japan by becoming the undisputed champion.

Still, the 32-year-old striker guaranteed he won't fold under the bright lights. The Nagoya-bred warrior told ONE:

"I’m the type who doesn’t get nervous in any situation. Since I’ve been entrusted with the headliner role for this very important event in Japan, I do feel like I need to build excitement and deliver in style. However, this responsibility doesn’t translate to pressure at all.”
