Michael Chandler returned to winning ways at RAF 03 as he defeated Chad Mendes in a wrestling competition.‘Iron’ had been on a three-fight losing skid in the UFC, but put on a show this weekend. The former Bellator champion had time to celebrate his win and shared an update on his social media accounts.Chandler uploaded an Instagram story where he brought up Conor McGregor. The pair were to fight at UFC 303; however, the Irishman pulled out due to an injury.Chandler has been calling out McGregor ever since, despite losing to Charles Oliveira and Paddy Pimblett in between. The American provided another update and this time claimed that McGregor had started training for their fight and had even brought in fighters similar to Chandler:“There’s a simple reason why I didn’t call out Conor [McGregor]…I’ve done it enough. The fight’s already happening…he wants to fight me. He’s brought in guys to his training camp to mimic my style.”Check out Michael Chandler’s comments below:While Chandler has repeatedly claimed the fight will go on, there has been no confirmation from the UFC. Dana White has categorically said that negotiations will take place from February next year for the fights on the White House card.Chandler signed off by adding that McGregor was going to keep his word since their fight deal was signed in 2024. He also thanked the UFC for providing him and other athletes to participate in wrestling promotions, such as RAF.Conor McGregor’s coach claims Irishman wants to fightConor McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, recently appeared on Ariel Helwani’s podcast and shared an update on the Irishman. The coach claimed that McGregor was ready to return next year and was keen on taking on anyone:"On our end, we're 100% in. He has asked me to basically lay out a program between now and June on how we will ramp up our training. He's showing up again, he's back in the gym most mornings early, he's having fun with it, but I got a bunch of messages after the show on Saturday night. He wants to fight everybody."While McGregor has suggested that he will be fighting at the White House, there is no confirmation of the same. However, Dana White did suggest that he would bank on McGregor staying fit and fighting at the White House over Jon Jones. This stems from Jones signing a contract to fight Tom Aspinall and then declining the fight.Jones, for his part, has been trying to put his name on the White House card too, with Alex Pereira on his mind.
