Polish female Muay Thai sensation Martyna Dominczak believes a victory over ONE women’s atomweight kickboxing world champion ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom this weekend at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video could bring her one step closer to a shot at the Muay Thai gold.

“So I'm more experienced, more confident, and I know that I want to be number one in the atomweight division right now. I know it very clearly. So Phetjeeja is just a step, you know? I have to beat her to be a step closer to the belt.”

Dominczak is currently riding a two-fight winning streak, and is 3-1 on the global stage of ONE.

ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video will go down live in U.S. primetime on Friday, Dec. 5, and will take place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. North American fans can watch the event free of charge with Amazon Prime Video.

Martyna Dominczak says her style is versatile

Martyna Dominczak says she won’t have a problem adjusting her game plan on the fly should ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom turn out to be trickier than expected.

The 23-year-old says she displayed this versatility in her fight against Yu Yau Pui at ONE Fight Night 29 this past March, which she won via split decision.

Dominczak told ONE Championship:

“I did many fights as you said, and many challenges like Yu Yau Pui. With her I had a very, very strong fight, but this fight also taught me that when I have a plan, I can change it in the [middle of the] round, you know? Because I was attacking her, she was attacking me, and then in the third round, I changed my [strategy] and I won this fight.”
