UFC veteran Paul Felder recently shared his thoughts on the Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane heavyweight title fight and slammed the Frenchman for the eye poke incident.Aspinall and Gane threw down in a heavyweight title fight in the main event of UFC 321 last weekend. While many expected a barnburner, Gane accidentally poked Aspinall's eye in the opening round, which rendered the Englishman unable to continue fighting. The bout ultimately ended in a no-contest.In a recent interview with Michael Bisping on the Believe You Me podcast, Felder shared his two cents on the matter and slammed Gane for his actions:"I was as disappointed as anybody else... I think when I saw the poke and how bad it was, and the fact that it compromised both eyes, it was ugly... Somebody brought up a really good point to me, that let’s say Tom could kind of see, but it was not 100%, and you’re in there with a guy like Ciryl Gane, who’s on point."He continued:"I think there was a part of it that was like, 'Sh*t, I’m not fighting this guy with not 100% vision.' And it’s on Ciryl Gane because he’s the one who committed the foul. Ciryl Gane made a pretty egregious foul there, and that’s got to be addressed."UFC veteran rubbishes narrative that Tom Aspinall quit against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321Brendan Schaub recently shared his two cents on the Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane fight at UFC 321 last weekend. The former UFC heavyweight slammed people who were criticizing the Englishman for not wanting to continue fighting after getting poked in the eye.In a recent episode of The Schaub Show, Schaub said:“The whole narrative on oh Tom wanted out, he was losing the fight, he found a way out... Shut the f*ck up. It’s such a casual take... You’re talking about the guy that fought Sergei Pavlovich, this scary Russian dude, and starched him in his hometown. You’re telling me... that guy was looking for a way out?... Anyone who’s saying that is not made of the same DNA as Tom Aspinall.” [23:30 of the podcast]
