Joshua Pacio is heralded as the greatest strawweight in ONE Championship history.

The 29-year-old has had multiple world title reigns on his belt, defending the 125-pound throne against formidable challengers over the years.

Dubbed as the ‘Rematch King’ for besting his rivals in epic trilogies, Pacio has defeated the who’s who of the greatest strawweights in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

This includes legacy-defining victories over Yoshitaka Naito, Yosuke Saruta, and Alex Silva, among others.

The biggest victory of his distinguished career came at ONE 171 in February, where he bested his eternal rival, ‘The Monkey God’ Jarred Brooks.

The Filipino superstar defeated the American with a come-from-behind TKO to unify the belts.

Joshua Pacio says setbacks only make him better

Joshua Pacio also took on reigning ONE flyweight MMA world champion Yuya Wakamatsu at ONE 173 in November, but was unsuccessful in his bid to become a two-division MMA world champion.

In an earlier interview with the South China Morning Post, 'The Passion' explained how he manages to rise from his defeats:

"All of these rematches made me who I am today. Like the rematch with [Yoshitaka] Naito in 2018, the trilogy with Yosuke Saruta, and this one with Brooks, and for me, he's the best strawweight in the division – Jarred Brooks. So, yeah, I think it made me a great martial artist to assess what my weaknesses are, assess what I need to improve on."
