ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane may have found his next opponent.
After the star-studded ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, last November 16, Anane, compelling matchups emerged from the rubble.
Anane made his featherweight kickboxing debut, taking out a highly regarded Japanese phenom in Hiromi Wajima in impressive fashion.
Elsewhere on the stacked card, Japanese kickboxing icon Yuki Yoza scored the biggest victory of his career after defeating pound-for-pound great ‘The Kicking Machine’ Superlek in a three-round war.

In a post-fight interview with Bangkok Post’s Nick Atkin, Anane was asked if he was open to facing Yoza for the right to challenge ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan ‘The General’ Haggerty next.
The Algerian-Thai phenom responded:
“Yes, why not? Let's see, man. Let's see what he gives me for the next fight. And I saw the fight from Superlek and Yuki. Superlek didn't know, didn't really know what to do, you know. Good fight for Yuki. Maybe in the future. Let's see each other.”
A Nabil Anane versus Yuki Yoza fight would be absolutely bonkers, and fans would love to see the two go to war. With Haggerty out indefinitely due to a torn rotator cuff, this is the fight that makes the most sense.
ONE Championship announced ONE 175: Tokyo for April 2026, and that seems to be the perfect stage for a fight of this importance.

Nabil Anane warns opponents who are avoiding him
Nabil Anane is one of the most avoided fighters at bantamweight, due to his sheer size and physical advantages. But the 21-year-old says the longer opponents duck him, the better he will become over time.
He told Nick Atkin:
“I'll have more, even more experience, and it will be even harder for my opponents. If they wait for a long time, it will be harder for them, you know. So now I'm just starting. I'm in the beginning. If they don't want to lose, if they want to have more chances, it's now, man. If they let me have a lot of experience, that's hard for them. So that's what I want to say.”
