It looks like Khamzat Chimaev is coming for Alex Pereira's MMA dreams. After 'Poatan' revealed his three-division championship ambitions on social media, 'Borz' wasted no time in firing back with a brutal dig.

Earlier in November, the Brazilian, who appears primed for a move to heavyweight, posted a picture with his middleweight and light heavyweight titles. More interestingly, he wrote:

"2+1 = 3 Chama."

Many in the MMA community have taken this as a sign that the superstar intends to try to conquer the UFC heavyweight gold. A logical assumption given that 'Poatan' has been chasing a move to 265 pounds with urgency since reclaiming the light heavyweight gold at UFC 320.

True to form, Pereira's recent post got on Chimaev's radar, and he quickly issued a veiled clapback, writing:

"-1"

Interestingly, Chimaev has been hot on Pereira's tail ever since he reclaimed the 205-pound title. The Chechen-born Emirati has proclaimed that he'd even move up to heavyweight to make the matchup come to fruition.

Be that as it may, Pereira has his heart set on fighting Jon Jones at the White House, a fight 'Bones' is equally excited about.

Furthermore, Chimaev recently teased Nassourdine Imavov as his next opponent. However, 'Borz' is scheduled to undergo surgery on his foot soon and is expected to be out of action until mid-March, when Ramadan ends.

When Khamzat Chimaev deemed Alex Pereira an 'easy' fight

Khamzat Chimaev believes Alex Pereira is an easy matchup for him. However, 'Borz' still recognizes the danger the former GLORY kickboxing champion poses and has a specific plan in mind to secure the win.

During an interview with Michael Bisping, the 31-year-old admitted that Pereira could knock him out in a pure standup exchange, but insisted his formidable grappling would completely neutralize any threat 'Poatan' presents:

"Of course, I've always been open [to fight Alex Pereira at 205 pounds]. I know, stylistically, this match for me is much easier than other guys. In striking, I'm going to be honest, I know the guy can knock me out. I know the guy is a good striker, one of the best, hardest punchers. But I'm one of the best grapplers, wrestlers. He's not that."
