Khamzat Chimaev answered several fan questions on Instagram Live recently. The UFC middleweight champion was asked about fighting or beating a couple of MMA legends and he had some interesting takes on the same.

Chimaev was asked about fighting Conor McGregor. The Irishman last fought in 2021, a loss against Dustin Poirier. McGregor has spoken about a comeback several times, but the UFC champion claimed ‘The Notorious’ is done with his fighting days:

“Brother, Conor too old, bro. He’s finished.”

It didn’t take long for his followers to ask him about McGregor’s greatest rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘The Eagle’ retired with a 29-0 record and has taken up coaching since then.

Khabib has repeatedly said he has no desire to fight anymore, something that Chimaev alluded to as well.

Chimaev was asked if he could beat Khabib, and this was ‘Borz’s’ reaction:

“Well, Khabib’s finished. He is not fighting anymore. Why are you saying these things?”

Chimaev is one of the few undefeated fighters in the UFC, and recently became the middleweight champion by defeating Dricus du Plessis.

‘Borz’ also spoke about fighting a couple of stars together as he continued his callout of one UFC champion.

‘Borz’ continued his targeting of UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira during the same Instagram live session.

The UFC middleweight champion also called out Pereira’s coach, a former UFC light heavyweight champion in his own right, Glover Teixeira.

Chimaev went a step further and said he would fight both the Brazilians at the same time and beat them:

“Of course, brother, I could beat him with his coach, what’s his name? His name…Teixeira, yeah, with Teixeira, together, brother. I will beat them both sometimes.”

Chimaev would have to move up a weight class if he wants to actually fight Pereira. However, the Brazilian seems to have other fights on his mind with Jon Jones being a prime target.

The pair have a lot of mutual respect and have hinted at clashing at the UFC White House event in 2026.
