After more than four years away from the sport, Conor McGregor is hoping to make a return on the UFC White House card. While Michael Chandler remains his preferred opponent, it seems 'The Notorious' is also open to a welterweight title clash against Islam Makhachev. Suffice it to say, fight fans are divided on the callout.During a recent media interaction, the Irishman once again confirmed he'd be fighting on the White House card, claiming that he was waiting for the official announcement by February.'The Notorious' shares a long-running rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov. When the reporter probed whether he'd be more motivated for his comeback if it were against 'The Eagle's' protege and the reigning welterweight champion, Makhachev, McGregor said:"No, I'm motivated, I'm self-motivated, and I for sure want a crack at that belt. I for sure want a crack at that 170-pound belt to go for the triple crown."Furthermore, McGregor believes it'd be a good fight:"It'd be a good fight, it'd be a good scrap. Southpaw vs. southpaw. It was a good performance out of him, and fair play to him, he had the courage to do it, to go up. So, yeah, I'm excited for it.
