After his impressive unanimous decision victory over Lebanese star Ramadan ‘The Scorpion’ Ondash at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video last weekend, the 21-year-old was thrilled to know that he would be facing ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai next for the division’s gold.

That being said, Aliff doesn’t believe Prajanchai really wants to fight him, and has even suggested that the Thai icon is ducking him.

He told Bangkok Post’s Nick Atkin:

“Maybe I was serious, I don’t know. It seems like he doesn’t really want to face me. I don’t know. So maybe he can face Ramadan first. But I’ll be waiting for the title shot.”

However, none other than ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong himself has confirmed that Aliff’s next fight will be for the world title, and the Malaysian-Thai fighter is basking in excitement.

In fact, if he were to have his way, Aliff would be fighting Prajanchai in Malaysia, in front of his family and friends.

Aliff added:

“If possible, I’d like to fight in Malaysia. I want the Malaysian fans to see me. I want to show my skills to my fans.”

Fans in North America can catch the replay of ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Amazon Prime Video.
