Dana White has kept the door open for Islam Makhachev to fight in the UFC White House event. The Russian became the latest two-division UFC champion after defeating Jack Della Maddalena in impressive fashion.Makhachev used his wrestling skills to full effect and snuffed the Australian out. He won the fight via unanimous decision and became the new welterweight champion.White was speaking to the media after the event and was asked about the White House event featuring American fighters taking on the rest of the world. He replied:“Yeah, it’s not America vs. The world. [It's about] what’s the best card we can build.”The UFC CEO was then asked if Makhachev could feature on the White House card, and White didn’t shut the idea down completely.“We are talking about him possibly, GOAT talk here, depending on what he does in his next couple of fights. The new UFC welterweight champion made a passionate speech after his win over Della Maddalena, and was keen to fight on the card next June.Joe Rogan asked Makhachev when he wanted to return to defend his title, and the Russian had this to say:"Donald Trump, let's go. Open the White House, I'm coming."The White House event is scheduled for June 14, 2026, on Donald Trump’s birthday. It is expected to be one of the biggest UFC cards ever.Several top names like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones have already expressed their desire to fight in the event.
