At ONE 173, the 34-year-old veteran opted for change, appearing in an all-white ensemble accompanied by new entrance music that marked a symbolic rebirth in his career.

After that electric entrance, ‘Natural Born Krusher’ put on an absolute show, flooring veteran Denis Puric four times for a second-round TKO stoppage victory in front of his hometown fans at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena.

According to Takeru, his $50,000 performance bonus-winning performance was inspired by his new walk-out song, Linkin Park’s ‘Heavy is the Crown’.

Takeru explained the significance of the tune in an Instagram post:

"This is the first time I've changed my entrance theme since debuting. When I heard this song, it resonated deeply with my current state of mind. In my last match, I lost without being able to do anything for the first time. But with the resolve to start over from scratch in the final chapter of my career, I changed my entrance song and made my costume white."

‘Heavy is the Crown’ is the second single from Linkin Park’s new album ‘From Zero’, featuring new vocalist Emily Armstrong.

The song’s upbeat riffs and deep lyrics - particularly the chorus - embody Takeru’s journey.

“This is what you asked for, heavy is the crown. Fire in the sunrise, ashes rainin' down. Try to hold it in, but it keeps bleedin' out. This is what you asked for, heavy is the crown.”

Takeru explains decision to call out Rodtang for final fight

Takeru announced he'll fight one more time before calling it a career.

'Natural Born Krusher' expressed his desire to rematch the last man to defeat him, Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

The Japanese star shared during the post-event presser:

"The talk about retirement, it wasn't really because I feel that my body is breaking or getting weaker. I just feel that currently, and I trained a lot of things, I changed a lot of things in my training leading up to this. I can keep myself at the strongest and best Takeru that there ever was, but the time for me to be able to do that is kind of shortening."
