Martyna Dominczak of Poland understands she will enter as a big underdog at ONE Fight Night 38 on Prime Video.

After all, the 23-year-old will take on reigning ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom in a three-round Muay Thai battle this Friday, Dec. 5, from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Phetjeeja will be the sternest test of Dominczak’s career thus far. ‘The Queen’ holds a pristine 7-0 record in ONE Championship, with victories over female striking legends Janet Todd and Anissa Meksen.

The Thai superstar is also coming off a successful atomweight kickboxing world title defense against Kana Morimoto at ONE 172 last March.

Speaking to ONE Championship, Dominczak acknowledged that the odds will be stacked against her, but she won’t back down from one of the pound-for-pound best female strikers in the world.

"I want to shock the fans and many people and show that even if I'm the underdog, I will beat her.”

The Legion Glogow affiliate continued:

“Yeah, that's really exciting. This fight is the most exciting fight in my career also. I'm super happy, super nervous at the same time, but I cannot wait to face someone like her in the fight."

Martyna Dominczak bares future plans after getting married

Martyna Dominczak recently tied the knot with her coach Maciej Dominczak.

But the 23-year-old insists that starting a family will be put on hold for now, as she chases her world championship aspirations.

The Legion Glogow fighter told ONE:

“When I quit the sport and retire, then I want to start a family and give birth to my children and focus fully on the family. Right now it's time for my career because I'm young, because I'm at the top of my career, so I want to [maximize] it 100 percent."
