With Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua a little over a week away, former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has made scathing remarks about the matchup.

Wilder believes the fight will be a "scripted" affair. In an interview with FightHub TV, the heavyweight knockout artist said:

"For me, in my opinion, I think it's scripted a little bit, because of the weight difference, and Joshua is a former [world] champion, and also he is current, he is active. This is going to be the first time we see Paul fighting an active fighter."

"We've all seen the Mike Tyson fight, that was all fun, that was cute, it's fun and games and stuff, but now you're dealing with a real professional. So, we'll see how it ends up. Like I said, I think it's scripted."

Paul vs. Joshua will go down on Friday, Dec. 19, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The event will be streamed globally on Netflix. Per Oddschecker, 'AJ' is a -900 favorite for the matchup with Paul as a +750 underdog.

The odds don't come as a surprise since Joshua is a former two-time unified world heavyweight champion with wins over the likes of Andy Ruiz Jr., Dillian Whyte, and Wladimir Klitschko, among others.

Meanwhile, most of 'The Problem Child's' notable boxing wins have come against retired MMA fighters. The biggest feather in Paul's cap so far is a decision win against former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Oleksandr Usyk predicts Anthony Joshua to steamroll Jake Paul

While Deontay Wilder feels Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua might be scripted, Oleksandr Usyk seems convinced 'The Problem Child' is in for a rude awakening on Dec. 19.

During a recent media scrum, the reigning unified heavyweight champion called attention to the vast skill discrepancy between Paul and 'AJ', while making a definitive prediction for the fight:

"If Anthony Joshua wants to, he kills this guy... Anthony Joshua is an Olympic champion first, Jake Paul is a sportsman, YouTuber, [and] showman. [It's like comparing] Rolls-Royce [with a] Fiat... It's just true. I will pray for Jake Paul, because I want to fight Jake Paul in the octagon."
