Women’s atomweight Muay Thai contender Martyna Dominczak of Poland sees one big advantage she has over ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom.

These two elite female strikers will collide at ONE Fight Night 38 on Prime Video this Friday, Dec. 5, in a possible world title eliminator.

Dominczak understands her underdog billing against the Thai superstar, who has gone 7-0 in the home of martial arts.

Still, the 23-year-old won’t sell herself short and has full trust in her own capabilities. Furthermore, the former WMC Muay Thai World Champion believes her physicality will give Phetjeeja problems.

Dominczak originally competed at strawweight before moving down to the atomweight division.

As far as the Polish star is concerned, this gives her a strength and power advantage, especially when they trade in close quarters.

“In the clinch and elbows and knees, I think it's now my [advantage] because she hasn’t fought in Muay Thai for some years,” Dominczak told ONE Championship.

“And also I think I can be stronger than her. I'm coming [down] from strawweight to atomweight, so I think also the physical strength will be on my side.”

It is worth noting that Phetjeeja spent the last two years competing exclusively under kickboxing rules, another area where Dominczak believes she’ll have the edge.

Martyna Dominczak says she has evolved as a martial artist

Martyna Dominczak's confidence facing one of the pound-for-pound best female strikers on the planet comes from her own self-development.

The 23-year-old has made significant strides with each fight in the promotion.

The Polish sensation told ONE:

"I think I'm a totally different fighter right now [from my first fight last year] because this will be my fifth fight in ONE Championship. Now I know all the rules. Now I know how to punch with the small gloves, how to protect [myself] with them.”

Watch Dominczak face Phetjeeja at ONE Fight Night 38 from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, streaming live in U.S. primetime on Prime Video for North American fans.
