Meanwhile, Yadong last defeated Henry Cejudo via technical decision at UFC Seattle in February. At a recent UFC presser, the former bantamweight champion shared his two cents on the upcoming Yadong clash and made it clear he didn't want to extend his current losing streak to three fights. Predicting a finish over Yadong, he said:"Young, experienced, explosive, a very dangerous fight. I do believe I'll put his lights out. This is what I need; it's been too long. I need to get back into the win column."Sean O'Malley wanted to fight someone else instead of Song Yadong at UFC 324It appears Song Yadong wasn't Sean O'Malley's preferred choice of opponent for UFC 324. The Montana native recently joked about his stock going down and revealed that he was hoping for a matchup against Aiemann Zahabi instead. In a video posted to his YouTube channel, O'Malley reacted to the UFC 324 main card and shared his thoughts on the Yadong fight:"Suga isn't looking so hot lately, but I think he's going to come back. I think he's going to impress people. Song Yadong is explosive, young, hungry, and very experienced for being so young... He's fought some of the best guys in the division. He's got a really good fight camp over there at Team Alpha Male."He added:"He's Chinese, so he's smart. It's not an easy fight. I didn't want this fight. I wanted Aiemann [Zahabi]. I'm like, 'Can I have Zahabi?' They're like, 'No.' F**k. Fine, I'll take Song. It's a good fight, No. 2 vs. No. 5 in January. I've been trying to fight. I was trying to fight in December, trying to fight in November, but I'm ready." [H/t: MMA Junkie]
