Dana White was asked about the major brawl that took place just before the UFC 322 main card started.

Visuals showed Dillon Danis, a close Conor McGregor associate, fighting it out with several members of Islam Makhachev’s team. Members were also escorted out of the arena, and White took the blame for the incident. The UFC CEO spoke to the media after UFC 322 and shared details leading up to the fight.

“I blame myself for that, actually. They came back and told me right before I walked out for the main card that Dillon Danis was here and he was moving around sitting in fighter seats and not sitting in his own seat, that he had, he had a ticket.”

White was presumably asked by security if he wanted Danis out. He was also reminded that Jorge Masvidal wanted to beat him up on sight. ‘Gamebred’ was a few rows away from Danis, but White didn’t think it would matter and allowed Danis to stay.

“If the guy has a ticket, let him sit in his seat and let him do what he is doing. And keep an eye on him. It never even crossed my mind, as stupid as it could be, that the entire Muslim Brotherhood was here tonight in the first five rows for Islam.”

White went on to say that Danis was not welcome to UFC events in the future.

“You will never see Dillon Danis at the UFC fight again... You will never see him in another fight.”

Dana White had the chance to press charges against Danis but chose not to.

“They called me downstairs and they said ‘We got him, do you want to press charges and have him arrested?’ And I said ‘No, I don’t want to press charges.’ This is the fight business man, you know how I feel about this sh**. I could have prevented this tonight and I messed up.”

This isn’t the first time Danis has been involved in a UFC brawl. UFC 229 remains infamous for one of the biggest fights after Khabib Nurmagomedov beat Conor McGregor.

Danis was on McGregor’s side and was allegedly attacked by Makhachev. The Russian wasn’t a big UFC name back then, but added more star power to his name by beating Jack Della Maddalena tonight and becoming the new UFC welterweight champion.
