"I'm sure Takeru will KO Denis Puric" - Kana Morimoto confident her Team Vasileus teammate takes home the win

Kana Morimoto has no doubt about how her teammate's comeback fight will unfold on one of the greatest martial arts fight cards ever.

Former K-1 champion 'Krusher Queen' competes against Stamp Fairtex in an atomweight kickboxing tiff on the same ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri card where her Team Vasileus stablemate Takeru Segawa faces Denis Puric in a flyweight kickboxing bout inside Tokyo's Ariake Arena on Sunday, Nov. 16.

In an exclusive interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP) ahead of the star-studded event, the Japanese striking specialist was asked about the matchup between her teammate and 'The Bosnian Menace', and her prediction came without hesitation.

"It's going to be Takeru's comeback fight, and since it's Denis Puric, both of them have a similar fighting style, which means this matchup is great. I'm sure Takeru will KO Denis Puric," the 33-year-old fighter told SCMP.

'Krusher Queen's' confidence in her Team Vasileus teammate reflects someone who has watched the former three-division K-1 champion prepare for his return to the Circle.

Her certainty that 'Natural Born Krusher' will secure a knockout victory speaks to her belief in his superior finishing ability compared to the 40-year-old Bosnian-Canadian.

Kana's prediction that Takeru will knock out Denis Puric aligns with the expectations surrounding the Japanese striker's comeback after his shocking 80-second knockout loss to Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 172 in Saitama this past March.

Kana aiming to push the pace against Stamp Fairtex in Tokyo

Fighting on home soil against Stamp Fairtex will be a tough test for even someone of Kana's caliber, but 'Krusher Queen' believes she has the right strategy to produce one of the most spectacular wins at ONE 173.

After going down in two of her three assignments in ONE, the Team Vasileus representative says she returns with new improvements following her defeats, highlighting that her aggression will be her go-to route against the former three-sport ONE world champion.

"This fight is a non-title fight, meaning three-round, three-minute fight. And since I lost my last match, I'm planning to be aggressive," the 33-year-old told SCMP in the same interview.
