“I'm super excited for this” - Martyna Dominczak ready to prove she deserves a shot at the gold by beating Phetjeeja

Hard-hitting Muay Thai stylist Martyna Dominczak has grand designs on becoming a ONE world champion, and she’s willing to walk through fire to achieve her dream. That dream is getting ever so close, and all she has to do is to defeat her next opponent in order to make it happen.

Dominczak will face off with atomweight kickboxing queen Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video this weekend, and the 23-year-old believes it could be the fight that books her a shot at Allycia Hellen Rodrigues’ atomweight Muay Thai strap.

The Polish superstar told the world’s largest martial arts organization:

“I'm almost sure that the one who wins this fight will be the contender for the belt with Allycia [Hellen Rodrigues]. I'm super excited for this. This also gives me bigger motivation for this fight, to beat Phetjeeja, to show that I'm at the top level right now and go for that belt.”

Dominczak is in for the toughest test of her young career, but she’s confident she can get the job done against a big name in Phetjeeja.

ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video will go down live in U.S. primetime on Friday, Dec. 5, and will take place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. North American fans can watch the event free of charge with Amazon Prime Video.

Martyna Dominczak embracing underdog role against fan-favorite Phetjeeja

Martyna Dominczak knows she will have a massive Thai crowd at Lumpinee Stadium rooting against her when she faces ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video this weekend.

But she has no problem with that, and instead wants to surprise everyone in attendance. She told ONE:

“I want to shock the fans and many people and show that even if I'm the underdog, I will beat her. Yeah, that's really exciting. This fight is the most exciting fight in my career also. I'm super happy, super nervous at the same time, but I cannot wait to face someone like her in the fight.”
