Former K-1 champion Kana Morimoto knows exactly what needs to be done in order to upset one of the most complete fighters when fight night unfolds in Tokyo on Sunday, November 16.
The Japanese martial arts star faces former three-sport ONE world champion Stamp Fairtex in a women's atomweight kickboxing bout at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri inside the Ariake Arena on Sunday, November 16.
In an exclusive interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP) ahead of their highly anticipated three-round clash in Japan, 'Krusher Queen' opened up about her tactical approach and why the fight's format plays into her aggressive game plan.
"This fight is a non-title fight, meaning three-round, three-minute fight. And since I lost my last match, I'm planning to be aggressive," the 33-year-old told SCMP via an online exchange.

Fighting on home soil against someone of Stamp's caliber represents the perfect opportunity to showcase her aggressive style in front of a passionate Japanese crowd that will fuel her forward pressure.

Kana Morimoto's aggression could overwhelm Stamp's all-around brilliance
Stamp Fairtex may bring world championship pedigree and an all-rounded skillset that made her a three-division world champion on martial arts' grandest stage.
That said, Kana Morimoto's determination to bring out a more aggressive style might just be the kryptonite to negate the Fairtex Training Center athlete's technical excellence.
If all goes to plan, the 33-year-old's trademark ability to push the pace from the opening bell could overwhelm Stamp early, and perhaps, she could secure a finish before the Thai megastar finds her rhythm.
Who emerges victorious in this atomweight kickboxing tiff? Will it be Kana or Stamp?
