Stamp suffered an ACL tear at the end of 2023 that required surgery and a lengthy recovery period. But now she’s back and ready to pick up right where she left off.

The Thai megastar is scheduled to face former K-1 champion ‘Krusher Queen’ Kana Morimoto in a three-round atomweight kickboxing duel at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, Nov. 16, from Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, the 27-year-old Stamp explained her decision to return to kickboxing competition first as opposed to MMA, and she also sent a warning to Kana:

“I need to see how things go. I want to check my mental state, my physical condition, and if my endurance is still there. I want to see how this fight goes, and then move on to MMA.”

Stamp added:

“What I want to show in this fight is that I’m still here. I’m not just a stepping stone for you to cross over.”

Stamp Fairtex admits there’s one thing she’s worried about with Kana: “I’m only scared of one move”

She told ONE:

“Her most dangerous weapons, I feel, are probably her punches and the calf kicks she has, because all Japanese fighters have those. I’m only scared of one move, the spinning back kick.”
