In the main event of ONE Fight Night 38, the knockout machine, known as 'Wonder Boy,' puts his 26 pounds of gold on the line against Mongolian veteran and No.4-ranked divisional contender Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu.

Speaking to ONE Championship, before his second title defense of the year, Andrade explained why this matchup against the Team Mongolia standout from Physical: Asia means so much to him.

“This defense is important because of his different style. You know, he’s a guy who has a different style from every opponent that I faced before," Fabricio Andrade told the promotion in an exclusive interview.

“So for me to defend my belt against him now, and if I can dominate the fight, it’s going to show that I can do it, that I’m on a different level.”

The Brazilian has primarily fought against striking specialists across his campaign on the global stage of ONE. He's emerged victorious against all of them, bar a no contest against fellow Brazilian highlight-reel fighter John Lineker.

In his last title defense, 'Wonder Boy' needed only 42 seconds to dispatch South Korean star 'Pretty Boy' Kwon Won Il with a body shot. In their first meeting, a non-title bout at ONE 158 in June 2022, Andrade wrapped up the fight in 62 seconds.

“I see that my distance management got way better because we worked a lot on distance, and now I feel like I can manage it more and that makes me more dangerous because it's harder to take somebody down when that person doesn’t get the distance they want. You got to shoot from far away and you cannot get to the leg so fast," Fabricio Andrade shared.
