Daniel Cormier recently recalled one of the most nerve-racking moments of his childhood. Cormier is easily among the most well-known personalities in mixed martial arts and is a former two-division UFC champion.'DC' is the second fighter in promotional history to hold titles in two divisions simultaneously and is the first to have title defenses in two weight classes. After hanging up his gloves for good, Cormier established himself as a regular feature on the commentary desk alongside Jon Anik and Joe Rogan.During an episode of the Good Guy/ Bad Guy show with Chael Sonnen, Cormier recalled getting caught stealing candy as a young boy and revealed how afraid he is of being sent to prison. He said:"So one time, one time I was with my dad and I got caught stealing out of a JET 24 store in Lafayette. I know, Chael, it's bad. I was stealing candy going out to summer school. The cashier told me that if I ever went into that store again, he would call the police. Chael, my biggest fear has always been going to jail. I was afraid of juvenile hall."He added:"First time I went back to the JET 24 store again, I prayed that it wasn’t the same cashier. It was, but the guy had forgotten me because I wasn’t the only kid stealing in there. Many were. But in my mind, I was the only one... I was a horrible thief... That would be too big of an ask to ask him to go fight [in the] main event. You have to have somebody fighting for a title, and it needs to be an American guy. We are celebrating our great country. We have to have a hero... I pleaded to Dana White over the weekend to let [Jon] Jones on... If you're putting together the greatest card of all time, isn't he included?"
