Chris Padilla put on a clinic against Ismael Bonfim earlier this evening at UFC Vegas 111, securing a second-round TKO win. However, his request for a fight night bonus was snubbed by the UFC, leaving 'Taco' visibly emotional.

While the 30-year-old struggled early in his MMA career, producing mixed results during his time at regional promotions, he's been undefeated since signing with the UFC.

After knocking out Bonfim, 'Taco' had just one thing on his mind - earning a few more Gs to better provide for his family. During his post-fight interview with Paul Felder, Padilla made a heartfelt plea to Dana White and the UFC brass to award him the $50,000 performance bonus:

"I love y'all. I love the Padillas, all my family. Shout out to all the people going through hard times right now. Stay strong, guys. We'll get through it. Dana, Sean, Mick, my mom lives in the trailer right now, man. I need that 50 Gs so I can help my mama, man. I don't really care about my performance. I love it, but those are the most important things right now." [0:40 seconds into the interview]

However, when the promotion announced the performance bonuses for UFC Vegas 111, Padilla failed to make the cut, with Gabriel Bonfim, Christian Leroy Duncan, Josh Hokit, and Zach Reese taking home the extra cash instead.

The disappointing outcome got Padilla emotional during the post-fight press conference, where he opened up about his family's struggles:

"That topic hurts me every time, man... I'll sacrifice anything for them any day. So, you know, I love those people, man. My mom's given me everything growing up. So, I'm gonna die out there for her. Everything that hurts on me, it doesn't hurt as much as seeing my mom struggle. So, I'm grateful, man. God is good, bro. I'm so grateful to come out f**king put my heart and soul, my blood, everything, bro. I said it, bro. My spirit's burning. My heart's pumping and my lungs, they breathing deep. So, I was ready for anything, anytime."
