New ONE bantamweight MMA world champion ‘The Tormentor’ Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu made history on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
With a fourth-round rear-naked choke finish over former divisional king ‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade in the main event of ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video, the 36-year-old follows in the footsteps of former ONE featherweight MMA world champion Narantungalag ‘Tungaa’ Jadambaa to become Mongolia’s second ONE world champion.
‘The Tormentor’ wanted to thank Jadambaa especially for helping him achieve his dreams. He told Mitch Chilson in the ring:

“I really want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my coach, legendary Narantungalag Jadambaa. He became a world champion 11 years ago. Today, I became a champion. It's a lot to ask.”
Baatarkhuu has had an incredible year. From being a finalist on hit Netflix reality competition series Physical: Asia to winning his first ONE Championship world title, ‘The Tormentor’ has done it all.

What’s next for Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu?
The sky’s the limit for ONE bantamweight MMA world champion ‘The Tormentor’ Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu following his world title victory over Fabricio ‘Wonder Boy’ Andrade at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video last weekend.
But he will likely return to action sometime next year to defend his newly acquired gold, and the options are pretty enticing for the 36-year-old.
A rematch with Andrade is on the table, assuming the Brazilian won’t take any time off. But there’s also a potential showdown with another top contender and former champion in John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker.
ONE Championship’s bantamweight MMA division is one of the most talent-rich divisions in the promotion, and Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu will never run out of dangerous opponents to fight should they be willing to step in the ring with him.
