It appears Conor McGregor is keen on making his long-awaited MMA return at UFC White House next year. The Irishman's longtime coach, John Kavanagh, recently shared an update on his training process and mentality. The UFC White House event is set to go down next year as part of the grand America250 celebrations. While initially scheduled for the Fourth of July, logistical issues forced the promotion to reschedule the card for June. Given the size and scope of the event, it's no surprise that some of the biggest names in the MMA world are looking for a matchup on the card.McGregor is among the notable names to call for a potential spot on the UFC White House card and officially re-entered the testing pool earlier this year. In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Kavanagh made it clear that his star pupil was keen on making a comeback next year:"On our end, we're 100% in. He has asked me to basically lay out a program between now and June on how we will ramp up our training. He's showing up again, he's back in the gym most mornings early, he's having fun with it, but I got a bunch of messages after the show on Saturday night. He wants to fight everybody."He continued:"Certainly, he wants to get on that card. So, how it works from the management point of view is between them. I don't really get involved in that. But from a training point of view? He's already tasked me with putting together a team of suitable training partners. We'll do some of it in the gym, some of it in his house, so he is fully locked in that we are going to be making the walk in what is it, six, seven months?"Dana White hints at preferring Conor McGregor over Jon Jones for UFC White HouseDana White recently addressed Jon Jones calling for a fight on the UFC White house card and explained why he trusts Conor McGregor over 'Bones' to headline such a massive event. In an appearance on the Flagrant podcast, White lauded McGregor as "that guy" and said:“I haven’t said yes or no to anybody yet, but I can’t put Jon Jones in a position where he can… I had a deal with him to fight Tom Aspinall; we had a deal, and he said, ‘I am not going to do it.'"He continued:“I can’t be in that position. People talk sh** about McGregor. McGregor, when you walk into that room, three days out from the fight, your opponent fell out... [McGregor will be like] 'Just let me know who I’ll fight.' You say whatever you want about Conor. Conor’s been that guy.”
