Reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade of Brazil holds his next challenger in high regard.
In the headlining act of ONE Fight Night 38 on Prime Video, ‘Wonder Boy’ will defend his 26 pounds of gold against No.4-ranked contender Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu on Dec. 5 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fresh from his 42-second demolition of Kwon Won Il at ONE 170, Andrade returns against another formidable challenger who’s known for drowning opponents in deep waters with overwhelming pressure.
The 36-year-old bruiser rides a three-fight winning streak, submitting Carlo Bumina-ang and Aaron Canarte, and outclassing Jeremy Pacatiw to earn his title shot.

Needless to say, Andrade won’t be underestimating ‘The Tormentor’ in the ring. The Brazilian knockout artist shared in a recent interview with the South China Morning Post:
“Yeah, man. He's tough, you know, that's one thing. He's tough. He lost one time to Artem Belakh. Artem Belakh was able to stop him, but he’s coming from good wins, and he's a tough opponent, very experienced.”
Meanwhile, Andrade knows that overconfidence has spelled the demise for champions in the past, and he won’t be making the same mistake against a dangerous opponent like Baatarkhuu.

'Wonder Boy' insists he's a well-rounded martial artist and will unleash his underrated grappling at ONE Fight Night 38.
He told Nick Atkin in a separate interview:
“I think a fight with a guy like Enkh-Orgil, who's also a wrestler, he always uses his ground game, is also good to prove myself because I've been fighting more strikers. Now I got a grappler. So I go there, I show my grappling skills as well, and finish him. Then it's a good win."
