“He’s perfect for me” - Martyna Dominczak credits coach-turned-husband Maciej for bringing out the best in her

Streaking Polish Muay Thai star Martyna Dominczak is one of the finest female strikers in ONE Championship today is grateful to her coach-turned-husband Maciej Dominczak.

Martyna has been guided by Maciej since she competed in the amateurs. But as the two spent more time together, they began to develop a deep bond. Just last September, they finally got married.

Martyna told ONE about their relationship:

“We got married, just the two of us, without any family or friends, in a beautiful, breathtaking place near Sveti Stefan. It’s a very popular place in Montenegro. It was awesome. We enjoyed the time together. It was a really perfect day.”

She added:

“He’s perfect for me because the main thing is that we have a common goal. We have a common passion in life and a common goal. Both of us are looking in the same direction.”

Now, the two are headed for one of their biggest fights ever in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Martyna is set to face ONE women’s atomweight kickboxing world champion ‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom in a three-round Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video.

The event goes down from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and will broadcast live in U.S. primetime on Friday, Dec. 5.

Martyna Dominczak details how she and Maciej built their relationship

Martyna Dominczak recently went into detail on how her coach Maciej Dominczak became her husband.

She told the world’s largest martial arts organization:

“At the beginning, it was just [a normal relationship] as a fighter and a coach. But we were at many tournaments together. When I started my amateur career, we were going almost every month to competitions.

“Then, we started to get closer. We started to talk more about not just a fighter’s life, but also about private life. We spent a lot of time together. We were very close. When I got older, we started feeling something different — feeling that he’s not just my coach, but also a friend, and then something more.”
