Reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion and former two-sport king 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom, is getting geared up to challenge reigning bantamweight Muay Thai king Nabil Anane next month.
Haggerty will get the opportunity to reclaim his champ-champ status at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Sunday, November 16, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
The British striker is confident he will get the job done against the 6-foot-4-inch-tall Algerian-Thai fighter, so much so that he’s already looking ahead at potential future opponents in the stacked division.

Among the many potential names, Haggerty shared his thoughts on rising contender Jake Peacock. He told South China Morning Post:
"Jake Peacock also, you know, he's up and coming. Can't forget about Jake Peacock. He's a machine. So yeah, I'm just excited to watch them all on the November card and just see what plays out."
But ‘The General’s path to double gold is no easy one. Anane is one of the most dominant fighters in ONE Championship right now, and the Algerian-Thai fighter has obliterated nearly everyone in his path.
If Haggerty is victorious, it would certainly speak volumes to the Brit’s true quality as a world champion.
