BJJ legend and ONE Championship debutant Lachlan Giles of Australia is all praise for Brazilian icon Marcelo Garcia ahead of their highly anticipated showdown.
The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video, which will broadcast live in American primetime on Friday, Dec. 5 from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Australian said:
“There's a clip of him using the saddle and a lateral kneebar finish from the saddle. I think he's played around with some of the leg locks. I'm not sure how much that is part of his game, whether he'd want to play that style against me, or whether his style will be more to avoid the legs and come on top. Who knows?”
Giles added:
“He's very innovative. Every time you watch Marcelo compete, he brings out something new. The north-south choke—he went and worked on it, and suddenly he's hitting it at ADCC.”

He told ONE Championship in a recent interview:
“My entries are good, and I can attack the upper and lower body from guard – good toe holds, shotgun armbar. I’ve been working even triangle entries when someone’s defending K-guard attacks into the legs.”
