Paul and Joshua are set to throw down in the squared circle on Dec. 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. While most combat sports fans are backing Joshua to beat Paul, given the Englishman's considerable size and experience advantage, Johnson and O'Malley believe the former Disney star could emerge victorious.

In an episode of the MIGHTYcast podcast, Johnson claimed that Paul could knock out Joshua, explaining:

"I think Jake's taking it seriously. I think Jake could knock him [Joshua] out. I'm gonna go on record right now. Anthony Joshua has been knocked out by some weird a** shots before... Boxing is a sport where everybody's got a puncher's chance. That's why we're all watching, right?... Yeah, he can destroy Jake Paul, but I don't see that happening... I feel Jake Paul could win this fight more than he could against Gervonta Davis."

O'Malley agreed with Johnson's take and backed Paul's chances against the former heavyweight world champion, saying:

"Dude, I 100% agree with you, if Anthony Joshua and Jake stand in the middle and trade, Jake has serious power. He's proved that. He's knocked a lot of people out, not necessarily that big, but he's got power... At the end of the day, in any fight, it's about who had a better camp, who's gonna show up that night... If Jake knocks out Anthony Joshua, it would be one of the most inspiring performances of all time."

Deontay Wilder shares theory on Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing match

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder recently shared his take on the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua fight. Wilder suspects the fight may be scripted and pointed out that Joshua was an active heavyweight boxer in contrast to most of Paul's previous opponents.

In an interview with FightHub TV, Wilder recalled Paul's fight against Mike Tyson and said:

"For me, in my opinion, I think it's scripted a little bit, because of the weight difference, and Joshua is a former [world] champion, and also he is current, he is active. This is going to be the first time we see Paul fighting an active fighter."

He added:

"We've all seen the Mike Tyson fight, that was all fun, that was cute, it's fun and games and stuff, but now you're dealing with a real professional. So, we'll see how it ends up. As I said, I think it's scripted."
