“What stands out watching Marcelo even now—he's very crafty. I still have to watch out for those things he's doing. I would be approaching it quite differently now, but some of the things he was doing, like getting in on a tight waist and forcing the half guard position, he does it quite different to how a lot of other people do.”
Garcia is currently 1-0 in the world’s largest martial arts organization, while Giles is making his ONE Championship debut.
ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video will go down live in U.S. primetime on Friday, December 5, and will take place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. North American fans can watch the event free of charge with Amazon Prime Video.

Lachlan Giles recalls previous rolls with Marcelo Garcia
Lachlan Giles believes he’s a much different grappler now compared to before when he previously shared the mats with Marcelo Garcia.
The two are set to meet on the canvas again at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Prime Video on Dec. 5.
The Australian told The FloGrappling Show:
“There are two rolls with him that were up in the gi on his website from 2014. We had two rolls back before the Gi Worlds. I've actually got copies of them. I was just looking at that. I had no idea, despite being a black belt, about distance management and guard retention. I see myself as a totally different grappler from what I was then. I hope I've improved quite a lot since then.”
