Danis was recently attacked by Khabib Nurmagomedov's team at UFC 322 for past comments. Anthony Taylor, who takes on Danis next on Dec. 20 at the Misfits Mania event in Dubai, described him as a fighter who pushes past acceptable lines of trash talking.

Taylor said that personal attacks on family or associates tend to provoke strong reactions, including public scuffles. Speaking in a recent appearance on the Overdogs Podcast with Mike Perry, Taylor said:

"Dillon talks a lot on social media. And sometimes it's to the point where it's like, 'Hey, bro, you're kind of crossing the line.'... It's always that one [person] who's never been punched in the mouth, who's never been in a real fight, who talks the most. Because if you've been punched in the face and you've been in a real fight, jiu-jitsu doesn't count. But if you've been in a real fight, punched in the face, you ain't going to be talking all online, bro."

He added:

"That's just how it is on social media. But a lot of guys feel comfortable behind that keyboard... We actually do this. We are prize fighters. We understand the risk of going into this fight knowing that one of us can die. But something about Dillon, he just pisses people off because he knows how to press the right buttons and he gets personal. Like when I'm talking to Mike [Perry], I'm talking as a fighting standpoint. I'm not getting personal, talking about his family or his kids or his wife or anybody."

Anthony Taylor previews upcoming clash with Dillon Danis in MMA

Anthony Taylor is approaching his fight with Dillon Danis at Mifits Mania with a plan built on experience and preparation. Taylor has competed in boxing and MMA in the past and is confident that his grappling skills can handle Danis’ submission threats.

He views the fight as an opportunity to bring a complete game to the cage and test his skills against a dangerous submission specialist. Speaking in the aforementioned episode of Overdogs Podcast with Mike Perry, he said:

"I shouldn't have to worry about Dillon because [I can] sprawl [with] under hooks, keep it sent. We all know Dillon sucks when it comes to striking. He's exceptional when it comes to ground... But at the end of the day, Mike, this ain't jiu-jitsu. With MMA elbows being allowed, you know, punches, all this stuff. This ain't the damn jiu-jitsu where they just slap, you know, they just slap each other. If you try like we ain't slapping, bro. I train with the best. You know how it is."
