Tom Aspinall recently shared his thoughts on Jon Jones trolling him for his eye-poke injury at UFC 321.Aspinall went up against Ciryl Gane in a heavyweight title fight at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi. While many expected fireworks over five rounds, the fight ended in a no-contest result in the opening round after Gane accidentally poked Aspinall in the eyes and left him unable to continue fighting. In the aftermath, Jones trolled Aspinall for allegedly quitting the fight and called his fighting skills "incredibly overrated" in an interview. Jones also attended the DBX 4 weigh-in ceremony after riding in on a horse wearing an eye patch, widely considered a sly dig at Aspinall's UFC 321 spectacle.Given the history of bad blood between the two, it's no surprise that the Englishman had something to say about Jones trolling him. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Aspinall addressed Jones' comments and said:"Yeah, good for him, man. Good for him. I thought this guy was the GOAT? Focus on yourself, bro. You’re retired, just go and do your own thing. If you’re so much better than everyone else, just go and enjoy yourself. Don’t worry about what I’m doing... Jon’s just doing some damage to himself out there, so I’ll let him do his thing."When Jon Jones accused Tom Aspinall of looking for a "way out" against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321In the aftermath of the UFC 321 main event, Jon Jones accused Tom Aspinall of looking for a "way out" of the Ciryl Gane fight by pretending to be injured by the eye pokes. In an interview with Geoffrey Woo (via @ChampRDS on X), Jones explained his take on the ill-fated Aspinall-Gane fight and said:“Initially, the doctor was like, ‘He looks fine,’ and Tom’s like, ‘No, I can’t.’ The guy wasn't trying to see, the guy didn't want to see... The eye he was covering appeared to be actually the eye that didn't get penetrated. One eye, the finger goes all the way underneath the eyelid. The other eye, it was on top of the eyelid… I don't think Tom really knew which eye was supposed to be more compromised. He just knew that he had been fouled, and it was his way out.”
