Conor McGregor slammed rival Khabib Nurmagomedov over the latest digital papakha hat sales.
Khabib recently posted several messages about exclusive digital collectibles that could be bought on Telegram.
‘The Eagle’ also claimed that eight winners from the digital sale would receive a signed papakha hat. However, many fans were unhappy with this latest digital sale from the former UFC lightweight champion.
The papakha hat is a traditional sheepskin headwear worn by many fighters from the Caucasus mountain region. Merab Dvalishvili, the current UFC bantamweight champion, is another star who has worn the papakha hat on several occasions.

McGregor, however, wasn’t all that pleased with this move from Khabib. An X user claimed that Khabib had deleted all posts about this digital sale, leaving only one update available, in which he thanked all those who took part in the promotion.
McGregor claimed that Khabib had stained his late father’s name and even took a shot at ‘father’s plan,’ a term made popular by ‘The Eagle’ over the years:
“What a shame and a stain on his father’s name. Just wow! To scam fans using his father and his countries culture is just so low. Father’s plan has now become Father’s scam. Very sad.”

McGregor also slammed Khabib for using the Dagestani culture to sell the NFTs. The Irishman claimed Khabib’s fans were taken for a ride and lost their money after ‘The Eagle’ deleted all his posts regarding the NFT.
“There is just no way good guy khabib used his late fathers name, as well as Dagestan’s culture, to scam his fans and fire sell a bunch of digital NFT’s online and then delete all of the content after they were sold, leaving his fans robbed of their money? There is just no way good guy do this.”

Conor McGregor was all praises for Islam Makhachev
In the same set of posts, Conor McGregor had a ton of praise for Islam Makhachev. The Russian became the latest two-division UFC champion after defeating Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322.
Makhachev was seen recently putting both belts on his father. McGregor was pleased to see this and lauded the Russian for this act:
“On the opposite side of this, it was Great to see Islam Mack honour his own father by putting the double world titles on his shoulders and saying ‘there is not many fathers of double world champions!’ Truth.”
