Brazilian MMA superstar Fabricio Andrade knows exactly what's coming, and he's spent his entire training camp preparing for it.

The reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion defends his gold against Mongolian grappling specialist Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu in the main event of ONE Fight Night 38 on Friday, Dec. 5, inside Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium.

In an interview with ONE Championship before his second appearance of 2025, the 28-year-old 'Wonder Boy' made clear he's not walking into this fight blind to his challenger's strengths.

"My training camp this time is a little different. I prepared a specific plan to defend what he does. He doesn't change his style too much from fight to fight. So it's easy to have an idea of what he's going to try to do," Fabricio Andrade told the promotion.

The Tiger Muay Thai representative understands that Baatarkhuu didn't earn a title shot by accident, after all.

The 36-year-old Mongolian rides a three-fight winning streak built on suffocating top control, relentless pressure, and submissions that force opponents to tap or risk serious injury.

His recent victories – including that arm-triangle choke comeback against Carlo Bumina-ang and the dominant decision over Jeremy Pacatiw – all followed the same blueprint: close distance, secure takedowns, grind out positional control.

Fabricio Andrade doesn't look like he will lose his throne anytime soon

Baatarkhuu may pose a threat or two and provide Fabricio Andrade with some food for thought, but 'Wonder Boy' has proved time and time again why he sits right at the peak of the bantamweight MMA mountain.

Alongside his world-class striking tools, which have helped him finish John Lineker and Kwon Won Il twice, the Tiger Muay Thai athlete's grappling is seriously underrated.

While he doesn't entirely rely on it, he has shown his ability to hang on the canvas, nullify takedown attempts, and bank on reversals, the last of which helped him flip the script and submit New Zealand-Philippines fighter Mark Abelardo in his debut back in July 2020.

Above all, Andrade's fight IQ is right up there among some of the best in the business, and as long as he brings all these traits on fight night, the 28-year-old should make the short trip back to Phuket with his 26 pounds of gold.

Active Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada can catch all the action from ONE Fight Night 38, live in U.S. primetime, on Friday, Dec. 5.
