Brazilian knockout maestro Fabricio Andrade isn't leaving his takedown defense to chance. He's brought in elite-level wrestlers specifically to prepare for the near-certain grappling threat that awaits him inside the Circle this week.
The reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion defends his title against Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu in the main event of ONE Fight Night 38 on Friday, Dec. 5, inside Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
During his interview with Nick Atkin, the 28-year-old Brazilian revealed the specialized preparation he's undertaken to neutralize the No.4-ranked contender's ground game acumen.
"When I came back to Tiger Muay Thai, I had a lot of Dagestani guys, Russian guys that are very strong wrestlers, and we also worked a lot on the takedown defense, especially for him. We know what he does well, what takedowns he does well, what he likes to do. So we trained exactly for that," Fabricio Andrade told Atkin.
