The youngest of the Lee brood took on ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion Tye Ruotolo in a three-round MMA showdown at ONE Fight Night 35 in August.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go well for ‘The Phenom’, who got choked out by the youngest IBJJF world champion.

Lee, the reigning ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion, cornered his brother and immediately consoled him right after.

The Warrior’ shared his admiration for his sibling’s resilience in an interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP):

“It was a tough fight and it's unfortunate but it's how it goes. This is a fight game, and thankfully, Adrian was able to handle it very well. He was able to learn from it, and it's these lessons that really propel you to make changes in your game and just force you to become a better fighter overall.”

The double champ continued:

“I told him, right after [the loss to Tye Ruotolo] happened, like you'll learn from it. You'll learn from it so much and just be better because of it. And I think that he's already done that. So extremely proud of him. And as for the fight itself, I feel like it could have gone very differently if Adrian had gotten his way early on. But it just so happened that he got his way early on.”

Christian Lee won't mess around in Alibeg Rasulov rematch

Christian Lee aims to settle unfinished business with challenger Alibeg Rasulov at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri.

Their first meeting last year ended anticlimactically due to an inadvertent eye poke by the champion. This Sunday, Nov. 16, 'The Warrior' wants a more definitive finish at Ariake Arena.

"I'm going to take him down and submit him in the first round. I think that there's a lot of different ways this fight could go. But, if I was to call it, a nice fun way would be to just take him down and submit him, get my paycheck," he told SCMP.
