Ronda Rousey’s boxing fight against Katie Taylor is nowhere close to happening, according to Dana White.Earlier this week, rumors started to circulate that the UFC Hall of Famer would come out of retirement and fight Taylor.Rousey is a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, but last fought in the UFC in 2016. ‘Rowdy’ is considered as one of the greatest athletes to have graced MMA, and a boxing fight against an iconic fighter like Taylor could have drawn a massive crowd. The rumors suggested that this fight would take place in Las Vegas next year. However, White, while speaking to the press after UFC 323, shut down any possibility of this fight happening:“Total bulls***.”White was asked about the rumors of Rousey coming back and the UFC president told that he hadn’t heard of it.He was then asked if he wanted to see Rousey returning to action, and White praised the former UFC star:“That’s up to her. Personally, I cannot say enough good things about her. When she was going to the WWE, the WWE called me to ask, I said ‘I am telling you right now, she will be the greatest athlete you will ever work with over there.’ I can’t say enough good things about her. She was great when she was here.”Check out Dana White’s comments below:A Ronda Rousey fight that’s bigger than Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregorThere’s a lot of interest in Ronda Rousey returning as the former champion has shared training clips on social media.Another name that’s been linked with a Rousey fight is Kayla Harrison. The current UFC women’s bantamweight champion faces the returning Amanda Nunes at UFC 323.Ali Abdelaziz was speaking to MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn and claimed a fight between Harrison and Rousey would be great:“Maybe she will have Amanda. She will smash Amanda, she stop her under three rounds and after that maybe Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano fight and maybe ultimate grudge match. Kayla Harrison vs. Ronda Rousey for all the marbles.”The MMA manager then brought up the history that Harrison and Rousey had. Abdelaziz believed that this fight would be even bigger than the one between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor.“There’s a lot of beef, from the judo days, it’s a lot of bad things happen between the two teams. And I think it will be the biggest [fights]. Ronda Rousey vs. Kayla Harrison one of the biggest fights in UFC history, it might do bigger numbers than Khabib [Nurmagomedov] and [Conor] McGregor because there’s a lot of nasty s*** in that closet.”Khabib vs. McGregor holds the record for highest UFC PPV buys with a reported 2.4million. That event took place in 229 with McGregor being part of the top four PPV buys in UFC history.
