Dillon Danis will not fight Anthony Taylor at Misfits Mania on Dec. 20 after reported injuries sustained from a chaotic brawl at UFC 322 left him medically unfit. Misfits MMA confirmed the withdrawal followed assessments by independent physicians who prioritized Danis’ health, despite the fighter seeking every option to stay on the card.

Taylor will now face Neeraj Goyat in a replacement matchup. The injuries stem from a Nov. 15 incident at Madison Square Garden, where Danis was involved in a scuffle with members of UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev’s team.

Several fans took to X to react to Danis' withdrawal. One fan wrote:

"Chanco [Magomed Zaynukov] smoked him."

Dillon Danis withdraws from deposition citing concussion from brawl

Besides his Misfits Mania bout with Anthony Taylor, Dillon Danis will also miss his upcoming deposition in the Nina Agdal case due to a head injury sustained during the aforementioned brawl. He is currently in California seeking medical treatment.

Danis' attorney informed the court that new deposition dates will be provided in January. According to a report by TMZ Sports, his attorney Mark Berman said:

"If, for whatever reason, including lack of responsiveness from defendant, I am unable to provide Plaintiff's counsel with January dates for a deposition, I would expect the court to order a January deposition on any date requested by Plaintiff's counsel."

Agdal sued Danis for sharing several explicit and disparaging images/videos of her on social media to promote his boxing match against Logan Paul. The case is still ongoing, with both parties demanding a jury trial, and a judge granting Agdal a temporary restraining order in September 2023.
