Khamzat Chimaev has shared his thoughts on UFC 322's main event. Next week’s PPV features Jack Della Maddalena defending his welterweight crown against Islam Makhachev. There is a lot of interest in this fight as Makhachev is moving up a weight class as he seeks two-division glory. The Russian vacated the lightweight title after racking up several title defences in the division.Makhachev is also ranked No.2 in the pound-for-pound rankings, and a win over Maddalena could push him to the top of the rankings.Chimaev, who is the UFC middleweight champion, was speaking on Instagram live. He was asked about who would win the fight and hinted at the Russian getting the crown.‘Borz’ also went on to explain why Makhachev would win:“I think Islam, we will see. Both good fighters. Islam moving up is interesting to see, what he going to do. But I think Islam will win. He gonna use his wrestling more in this fight.”Check out Khamzat Chimaev's comments below:Moving up a division is never easy, and while Maddalena might be the defending champion, Makhachev seems to be gearing up pretty well for this fight.Islam Makhachev bulking up for UFC 322Islam Makhachev recently spoke with ESPN MMA and brought up how training for the welterweight title has made things easier for him.The former lightweight champion would have to cut down to 155 pounds, which would take a toll on his body. However, Makhachev claimed that his walk-around weight is 87kgs now (approx 192 pounds), and he is also eating more and training with larger partners.Makhachev added that he was happier moving up a weight class:"My life changed when I changed the weight division. Before, I always had to think about what to eat for dinner. Now I can enjoy my camp, eat whatever I want, and just smile and train. I’m much happier now. At 155, it was always difficult, always hard to make weight, and no one who cuts more than ten kilos can ever recover one hundred per cent.”Makhachev and Maddalena both come into this fight on impressive winning streaks. The Russian is on a 15-fight winning streak while Maddalena has won his last 18 bouts. However, Makhachev will have more title fight experience. The Russian has fought in five UFC title bouts, while this would be Maddalena’s second title fight.
