“Big fan” - BJJ legends Renzo Gracie, Andre Galvao sound off on Tye Ruotolo’s explosive performance against Shozo Isojima

Even Brazilian jiu-jitsu icons Renzo Gracie and Andre Galvao were in awe of Tye Ruotolo's flawless showing at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri.

The reigning ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion made his sophomore MMA foray last November 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

After starching Adrian 'The Phenom' Lee in his mixed martial arts debut last September, Ruotolo put on an even more electrifying performance against hometown bet Shozo Isojima.

The youngest IBJJF world champion did not mess around and unloaded a violent barrage as soon as the bell rang.

The grappling savant's strikes looked crisp and packed a ton of power, completely catching the Japanese star off guard.

Once the fight hit the mat, Ruotolo displayed his BJJ excellence and finished the job via a rear-naked choke.

The 22-year-old also cashed in yet another $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for snapping Isojima's undefeated record.

After going 2-0, Ruotolo took to Instagram to celebrate his impressive victory and thanked everyone who made it possible.

Ruotolo's breathtaking performance earned some kudos from his Atos Jiu-Jitsu mentor Andre Galvao, who wrote:

Chatri lauds Tye Ruotolo's amazing performance

After exiting the Circle following yet another impressive victory in four-ounce gloves, Tye Ruotolo was met by none other than Chatri Sityodtong.

The promotion's Chairman and CEO congratulated the reigning ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion for a job well done.

"He's a tough guy, you made it look easy," Chatri said.
