In one of the best moments of ONE 173, former two-division ONE World Champion Aung La N Sang of Myanmar officially entered the promotion’s Hall of Fame on November 16.
In front of a sold-out crowd at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, ‘The Burmese Python’ was honored as the third inductee to the pantheon of greats, joining fellow legends Demetrious Johnson and Bibiano Fernandes.
Myanmar’s hero beamed with pride after ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong personally honored him during the biggest martial arts event of the year.
After that emotional moment, Aung La N Sang spoke to Nick Atkin of the Bangkok Post about his career milestone.

The retired 40-year-old icon left a message for the next generation who will follow in his footsteps:
"For sure. And that's how we are, right? Community is everything, and we need to be good people. We need to make this world a better place. And I think that's, if anything, that's the most important image, you know, that's the most important message, you know, from me is to do what you love, but most importantly, make this world a better place."

Aung La N Sang shares experience as a guest commentator at ONE 173
Apart from coaching, Aung La N Sang is not closing the door on a possible career as a fight analyst.
After being inducted, 'The Burmese Python' took the broadcast booth at ONE 173, joining Mitch Chilson and Ray Flores for the Christian Lee vs Alibeg Rasulov lightweight MMA world title fight.
"Oh, I loved it. I loved it. It was exciting. Fun, but of course I'm not overly dramatic, you know. That's not who I am. I just say it like I see it, you know, and I hope they enjoy my commentary, you know, because I say it as is and I understand the technical side of it," he told Nick Atkin in the same interview.
