The 21-year-old fighter earned his shot at Prajanchai PK Saenchai's ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title with a unanimous decision victory over the Lebanese teen warrior at ONE Fight Night 38 on Friday, Dec. 5, inside Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.

During his post-fight interview with ONE Championship, the Sor Dechapan representative revealed the physical advantages that proved decisive during their entertaining three-round strawweight Muay Thai tiff.

"I believe my height and reach advantage played a crucial role for this fight, and I really need to make use of that," Aliff Sor Dechapan shared.

Indeed, that tactical awareness kept him ahead of his opponent all night. Aliff used his reach to land devastating left kicks to Ondash's body throughout Round 2, keeping the Lebanese striker at a distance where he couldn't counter with his dangerous left hook.

Then, the Malaysian-Thai's perfectly timed left knee in Round 3—the strike that dropped Ondash for an eight-count—came from maintaining ideal range where his longer limbs created openings.

His five-fight winning streak, 62-9 resume, and stellar performance inside the Mecca of Muay Thai prove he belongs in world championship conversations.

Aliff Sor Dechapan could well prove to be Prajanchai's kryptonite

There are no flaws within Prajanchai PK Saenchai's fight style. The ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion is absolutely clinical in defense, attack, and even when he plays the tactical fight-IQ game.

That said, Aliff Sor Dechapan's ability to create openings using his range, and knowing what to throw at the right time will massively help him in his attempt to unseat the PK Saenchai striking wizard when they do lock horns in 2026.

He's been looking better with each passing appearance on the global stage of ONE Championship. Since debuting with a more reckless style, the 21-year-old slugger has padded his world-class arsenal with a lot more variety in attack and fight-IQ.

How do you see his world title charge against Prajanchai unfolding? Can his reach trouble the Thai megastar when they collide sometime next year?
