Spear is a new melee weapon that was released with Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem game drop. Curse of Vanishing is the worst enchantment for a spear since it is a curse. If players have a spear with this enchantment and die, they will lose the weapon forever.

Bane of Arthropods is also not among the best enchantments for a spear since it only increases damage against arthropod mobs like bees, spiders, and silverfish.
8) Smite
Smite could be a decent enchantment to apply to the spear, but since this option only increases attack damage towards the undead, it is not the most versatile offensive enchantment.
7) Fire Aspect

Unbreaking has always been a go-to enchantment for almost every gear piece in Minecraft since it increases the life span of gear. It reduces the chances of a gear piece's durability going down when it is used. This can be a great enchantment for a spear that players want to use for a long time.
2) Mending
Mending is considered one of the best enchantments since it allows players to heal their gear pieces using XP. If a spear with a Mending enchantment is held in one hand and XP orbs are picked up, the spear's durability will be restored.

Sharpness is arguably the best for the spear since it simply increases its general attack damage, regardless of which enemy players are attacking. Since a spear will primarily be used as a melee weapon, this is a great enchantment for it.
