Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem expected release time today

Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem will be dropping today, on December 9, 2025. This game drop was announced back in September, during the bi-annual Minecraft Live show. Major new features coming to the game drop were announced, while several smaller features were later added during the snapshot and beta phase. Finally, the game drop will be ready for release in a few hours.

Though Mojang usually does not reveal the exact release time for the update, we can estimate the time window in which the developers may drop Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem.

For several years, Mojang has released updates within a certain time window. Like with every massive game company, it has a set time of day at which it releases new updates or titles.

Previously, the company released Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.5, 1.21.6, and other game drops at around 12 pm ET (9:30 IST). However, the latest Copper Age game drop was released at 11 am ET (8:30 IST).

Hence, the Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem game drop (1.21.11) can be released anytime between 11 am to 12 pm ET ( 8:30 to 9:30 pm IST) on December 9, 2025.

Of course, the exact release time can vary since it entirely depends on Mojang. Hence, here is an estimated two-hour window for major time zones in which the Mounts of Mayhem game drop may release:

8:30 – 10:30 pm IST
3 – 5 pm GMT
4 – 6 pm BST
11 am – 1 pm EDT

Major new features coming with Minecraft 1.21.11 Mounts of Mayhem game drop

Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem will arrive with features like nautilus, zombie nautilus, zombie horse, camel husk, parched skeleton, spear, netherite horse armor, and more.

Nautilus is a brand new underwater, rideable mob that will also have a zombie variant, on which drowned zombies with tridents will spawn.

Spear is a new, first-tier melee weapon that can attack in two ways: jab and charge. During a charge attack, the speed of the player determines the amount of damage the weapon does. The jab attack can also enable players to dash forward if the new lunge enchantment is applied to the spear.

Camel and skeleton get unique undead, desert-exclusive variants named camel husk and parched. Parched skeleton will be similar to zombie husk, but will shoot arrows of weakness towards players.

Finally, zombie horse is returning to survival mode with this game drop. Previously, the mob was an unused asset, which only spawned through commands in a creative mode world.
