Minecraft fan recreates memorable Rainbow Road from Mario Kart

Minecraft players have often used the limitless possibility of creating anything in the blocky world to create amazing structures. Many of the talented builders have recreated worlds from other games such as Undertale, Terraria, and Super Mario. It is fascinating to see how accurate parts of the other game can be recreated in Mojang’s title.

A Minecraft player, u/32Nova, posted a video on the game’s subreddit showing how they made the iconic Rainbow Road from the popular racing game Mario Kart. The clip shows a massive track system with many details faithfully recreated in the game. The player can be seen using a boat to ride on the ice track.

The scale of the build and attention to detail is beyond impressive. The original poster mentioned that they changed the lighting using BSL shaders version 10 to make things look better during the night and also toggled curvature on.

u/Yoshichu25 mentioned that they have never seen slime blocks being used in a boating track before. The user also asked if any mods were used to make the boats jump. The original poster replied that they used the OpenBoatsUtils mod that allows players to tweak the boat physics of the game.

u/superjediplayer expressed that Mojang Studios should add colored ice blocks so that players can make tracks like this. Also, it would work as a borderless stained glass that can be used in different builds without the borders that glass blocks have.
